Can Vichy’s Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care really help with blackhead problem?

by Penny on July 22, 2009

I’ve had blackheads for a long time and they’re always around the tip of my nose. Other parts of my face is not that prone to blackheads. I tried several ways to get this problem solved for years.

I used the painful blackhead strips that did not work but caused me a lot of pain, I tried scrubbing and extracting them myself a couple of times a week, I even tried The Face Shop Greentea Blackhead Remover most recently. All methods didn’t quite get rid of my blackhead. To be fair, they worked some, but my blackheads kept coming back.

When I saw a full page advertisement in a woman’s magazine featuring Vichy Laboratories’ Normadern range of skincare that focused on a star product called Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care that promises to be a total blemish control in terms of correcting acne, pimples, blackheads and shine, I was a little interested yet skeptical. Could it really work? I guess there’s only one way to find out, which is to try.

In its website, some test results of this product done on 30 women were published and the one that made me raise my eyebrows was the one that said that after 4 weeks of use, there was a noted 83% less blackheads. This is fantastic results but then of course you just never know if it truly works for you and me.

I’m quite interested to try this out nevertheless. I don’t know how much it costs. I will check it out and consider if it’s worth trying. As far as I know, the products aren’t that cheap. Some months back when I wanted to switch skincare brands, I checked out Vichy for the first time and thought it was rather expensive because I’ve never heard of it before.

If you noticed, this Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care focuses on correcting not just blackheads but also acne and pimples. I don’t have a big problem in this area but I suppose it should also be good for me to clear impurities that could build up as pimples that I do get every once in a while. In the area of having blemish-free skin, I think this should work fine for me as compared to what I was once introduced to, a product called Pronexin. The latter seems like a product for serious blemish problem which I thankfully do not suffer from.

If I do go for Vichy’s Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care, I’ll be sure to write a review on it. Any of you tried this? Did it work for you? Do share if you have used it, whether or not you experienced any results from this product. I for one would definitely love to find out, especially before buying it to try out!

I’ve used 2 bottles VICHY Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care, now going to purchase the 3rd one. It’s really good, go for a sample try and you will get the unbelievable hydrating feeling instantly. Never other products, where the price is high or low, have given me the same experience.

However, VICHY products aint cheap, it hurt my wallet everytime…but the bottom line is , it’s really works. Compared to those cheapier products with very minimum effect at all times, or the more expensive ones but still give weaker effect than VICHY, i think u should just close one eye on the price tag and give VICHY a try….and wait and see how’s the result amaze you.

But still, i’m looking for cheapier VICHY around, anywhere u know (Bangkok? Singapore?) got lower price than Malaysia?

Hi Shannon, thanks for sharing this info. Very useful indeed. I do have some sample of this product so I’m going to make use of it to see how effective it is on me :) I agree that for a pharmacy brand product, it isn’t exactly cheap! When you do find cheaper alternatives to buy this elsewhere, do share with the rest of us here ok? :)
