A heart locket is a very romantic gift for Valentine’s Day. Slip in a photo or two and remind your loved one of your everlasting love for each other, forever locked in the heart locket.
You can find a locket for your loved one in many forms. They can come in a pendant, a charm on a bracelet, a keyring like the above or simply a pocket locket.
It is not easy to find lockets, as many jewelry shops and goldsmiths don’t offer them or do not carry much varieties. I’m not sure why heart lockets are not common in Malaysia, but they make such sweet gifts. So if you are able to find a locket for your loved one, I’m sure she’ll cherish it with all her heart.
If you do a quick search on the internet for lockets for sale in Malaysia, you will find some sites on eBay that sells them. Most of these sellers are not in Malaysia, so shipping may be necessary, but I don’t think shipping will cost that much for a small locket.
Alternatively, you can visit some novelty carts or stalls in shopping malls (try Ikano and Mid Valley carts that sell accessories, jewelries or stainless steel products) or even the weekend markets at The Curve and Mont Kiara. They carry some of the more interesting gifts that many branded and more popular chain outlets don’t offer. Also, you may want to try some shops like Tous and Risis to see if they have lockets.
Besides slipping in a special photo, you can also engrave your special message on the Valentine locket. It’s such a simple but meaningful gift. I feel every girl should have a special locket with her special someone.
