It’s already mid September, and this year I thought of starting the year end shopping early. By that, I mean to shop for Christmas presents. Year after year I tend to spend quite a fair bit because some gifts are last minute purchases and when you really run out of ideas what to buy, you just buy what you see because you are desperate. And these are the expensive purchases versus the ones well planned earlier.
I’m also thinking what will be cute gifts for under the tree this year to make it all lively and colourful. My son loved last year’s Christmas deco we had. It was his first time helping to put up the tree and he had a ball of a time. I don’t think we’ll buy more Christmas tree decos this time, we’ll just re-use the ones we bought last year.
How about you? When do you shop for festive gifts? Way in advance of when the time comes?

Have to admit I am one of those people who start my Christmas shopping in January. There is a designated spot in the basement, and have only lost a couple of items–found later. I already have my husband’s gifts, and most of our friends. It has gotten to the point that I try to avoid shopping in the store as much as possible in December. Don’t do much on line shopping…YET!
As for the tree: I have a collection of antique mercury glass ornaments that I would love to put up. But only if the youngest cat would stay out of the tree.
Shopping early saves you from trouble of ending up with less time and as it’s for Christmas then ofcoursly the excitement goes all high.
Its good to start shopping early and even I would suggest you to avoid the rush last moment.
