When I first quit my job, I knew what I was giving up. It was more than just the job itself which I didn’t mind giving up at all, but it was the fringe benefits that I’ve taken for granted all the 10 years of my working life back then. Now that I’m running my own show, I realised that I had better start looking for some good medical plan for myself as I’m no longer covered by any employer.

Anyone has any great recommendations? I’ve seen a couple but found them to be rather similar, no one that was more outstanding than the other. It’s a pity that we don’t have what some of the western countries have something called a health savings account.

Would definitely appreciate some of your feedback or opinions if you have signed up for such a plan. After all I would love to shop smart and hear from customers themselves rather than just the companies selling their services.

I really didn’t think there’ll be supplements which kids can take for colostrum until I read an invitation email from Tupperware Brands. I visited their site and was browsing through their health product range and that’s when I saw that they have a supplement called Colostrum DHA Chews for kids. You can see more details of this product on this page.

Seems like lots of benefits to this supplement and I am quite sold on it, but it is only meant for kids from 6 years and up. So I guess it’s not suitable for my 3-year old. For those of you who have older kids and if this is something you’ve been looking for, then do check it out. And if you have tried it, do give us some feedback on what you think.

The Tupperware brand is no longer limited to selling good quality food containers. I guess many of the multi-level marketing companies nowadays don’t just sell one product and many start to branch out into all sorts of health products like supplements and enzyme drinks. I wonder if any of them will start offering prenatal vitamins next.

Predominantly most people will say from the pharmacies in malls or even from their local medical hall nearby the home. However nowadays a lot of multi-level marketing companies are going into health care products and for majority of them, supplements tend to be the preferred products to market. So people are now exposed to many other choices as to where they buy their vitamins.

I can understand why a lot of people prefer to buy from the multi-level marketing companies, simply because they have the distributors to convince them that their products are superior and the formulas and ingredients used are better, therefore making their supplements more effective than others.

I believe they are good products, no doubt about that because I’ve experienced many of these.

But I also believe there are some pretty good brands at the pharmacies too, it’s just that we don’t get the same advise and recommendations from anybody at the pharmacies nor the medical hall. They are probably indifferent, except of course if they are offered better margins for some brands over others.

So at the end of the day, where do you prefer to buy your health supplements from?

There are all sorts of allergies that people suffer from. My son, who is nearly 3 years old, has pretty sensitive skin and nose and I sometimes worry that he may have an allergy or two. Whenever he feels some tingly feeling or itch on his skin, he’ll scratch it and he ends up with a red patch. He also sneezes quite often and it led us to suspect that maybe he’s allergic to dust or small particles too.

Does anyone use anything specific for such allergies? All we use is a cream to help with his red spots whenever they develop. And that particular cream is actually for eczema, and it contains steroids. So I try not to use it and find something milder.

As for his nose, I really don’t know what to use. There doesn’t seem to be anything for it, huh?

I’ve never shopped for things like this and this is a first for me. Not easy at all looking for any kind of allergy relief, now I know!

There are lots of innovative products that have surfaced in the recent years. So much so that it’s not surprising to find all kinds of everything now in the market. Have you bought something that you really have no use for, but bought it because it was simply innovative? Well I have some of those items but truthfully, I don’t know where they are now!

What are some of the more innovative products that you have bought? One of mine is this toy in Japan called Puchi-Puchi, which is actually a digitized bubble wrap toy. For those people who like to pop bubble wraps, this Puchi-Puchi will provide them sufficient fun by giving them the same feel of a bubble wrap, with some added fun such as some random funny sounds that get generated as you pop along.

A pretty expensive “toy” if you ask me, fun to have for a while but after some time you just don’t pop it that much anymore, and really it’s not as addictive as the real thing!

What are some of your purchases that are innovative stuff? A friend shared with me about her diabetic socks which I thought was kinda far-fetching to help with blood circulation or something to that effect to help curb diabetic levels.

Have you got anything to top that? I surely don’t, not even a Puchi-Puchi!
