It’s been more than a month since I switched eye creams, from my Body Shop Vitamin C Eye Reviver to Sukin’s Antioxidant Eye Serum. I was very excited to switch to this brand because it’s an organic skincare product and it was a major plus point that Sukin’s organic products, manufactured in Australia, is offered for a relatively cheap price compared against other organic skincare products.
Here are some of the description of the Sukin antioxidant eye serum provided by Sukin’s website:

Soothing aloe vera, cucumber and burdock provide the perfect mix of plant proteins to reduce puffiness and dehydration. Rose hip, evening primrose and borage oils target fine lines and repair damaged skin cells surrounding the delicate eye area. Fragrance free, making it suitable for all skin types including sensitive.
Sounds like a great eye cream. Retailing at about RM64 for a 35ml tube of eye cream in a rather attractive packaging, it is indeed a very affordable organic eye cream. Even non-organic eye creams are more expensive than that! I bought my Body Shop Vitamin C Eye Reviver for RM69.90 for just a 15ml bottle.
So what did I think of the Sukin eye cream after using it for almost 1.5 months and is it really worth the money? Read my review of the Sukin organic antioxidant eye serum below.
I regret to say that I don’t quite like this eye cream despite it being organic and so affordable. I find the texture of the cream to be rather thick and it doesn’t apply very well on my skin. When I say it doesn’t apply well, I mean to say that it doesn’t absorb very easily into the skin. For eye cream application, only a small amount is needed since the skin area is very small. Even using a small amount, I find that it takes a lot of time for me to dab this cream on until they are all fully absorbed.
Furthermore, I find the texture of the eye cream to be rather starchy. When I squeeze a tiny amount of the serum onto the tip of one of my ring finger, then rubbing it onto the other tip of my ring finger to prepare for application on the eye area, I can see that the cream is quite “sticky” between both the ring fingers and it looks like you’re handling glue! Only difference is that it doesn’t stick your fingers together!
Texture and absorbancy issues aside, I can’t really say whether this eye cream has done a good job on me because I don’t see or feel any difference. Not sure if I’m just not observant enough, but that’s that. Seeing that I seriously don’t like how it applies on my skin because it takes such a long time, I am not gamed to replenish this eye cream when I finish it. I’ve still got a long way to using this 35ml tube!
Anyone else who has tried the Sukin antioxidant eye serum? Any views to share on this product? I may not like it but others may find it a gem. If you have used this organic eye serum before, do share your feedback so that we know both the pros and cons.
P/S. If you’re wondering why I use my ring fingers to apply the eye serum, you can read about the correct way to apply eye creams.
