I have some company benefit to make use of before the year is out, as well as before I leave the company for good. I have a total of RM800 to spend on some health supplements. Now I’m scratching my head, is it possible at all to spend RM800 in one shopping trip to buy all the supplements that I want? I suppose it may not be as difficult as I’m thinking because they don’t come cheap, right?
So I shall go around pharmacies and start making a list of all the items I think would be good. Vitamin C is a definite buy for me, but I don’t know what else to get. I don’t really like to ask for recommendations from those sales assistants at pharmacies because I think they are driven by commission by certain brands and I find that what they recommend may not always be the best product or brand, but merely just high paying items contributing to their pay cheques.
Because of that I try to avoid listening to their sales pitch on some Medicare supplement or some lesser known brands of certain types of supplements. Having said that, I guess we can’t really blame people for wanting to make a living too. If we were in this situation, I bet we would be doing the same thing and recommending what pays us better.
So off I go tomorrow, my quest to start looking out for healthy and good buys at the pharmacies. If you find a girl hanging out for a long time at the supplement section of a pharmacy and grabbing bottles and bottles of vitamins, come say hello to me!
