So that’s when I went shopping for a sunscreen. The last brand that I was using was Skin Food so I went back there. They call their sunscreen sun cream and they offer a few different types.
I was talking to the store assistant and she explained to me the different types of sun cream meant for different types of users. For those who are outdoors a lot like beach goers, then the Brocolli Sun Cream is recommended as it comes with the highest protection at SPF 42 and PA+++. I have used the Brocolli Sun Cream before and I didn’t like the stickiness of it. I was told that the higher the SPF, the stickier a sunscreen becomes.
For those who pretty much stay indoors either at home or at work, they can opt for lower protection and go fo the Tomato Sun Cream SPF 36 PA++. Whilst the Brocolli one was almost odourless, this Tomato cream has quite a nice, light scent to it. I chose to try this one out this time round. I like the lighter texture compared to the Brocolli one.
There’s also the Green Tea Sun Care Essence with SPF 27. This one doesn’t come with any PA++ which means it has no protection against UVA. I quite like the refreshing scent of this sunblock but since it doesn’t protect against harmful UVA, I decided not to go for this.
Along with my purchase, I was given a sample of their Honey Black Tea Jelly Foam to try. It’s a facial cleansing foam that contains honey extract which is effective for moistrizing dry skin. It also contains black tea that is effective in eliminating keratin.
Skin Food is a Korean brand and it has many other products other than its skin care range. You can find cosmetics, body and hair products too. It’s a very affordable range and the packaging is very attractive and pretty. I also find their website very unique and pleasant. Yes, I’m a sucker for packaging sometimes!
You can find Skin Food outlets at many major malls like 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Mid Valley Megamall, Cineleisure, Pavillion, Sunway Pyramid, etc. The complete listing of their locations can be found here.
