Some weeks back I visited Daiso at The Curve for the first time (read the post here) and I didn’t quite have enough time to take my time to browse at every aisle. So when I had some time on my hands yesterday, I really took my time and checked out all the stuff they had to offer and I’m impressed again for the second time!
So far, this being my second visit, I have no complaints about this store. In fact, I’m really happy that someone brought in this 5 dollar store franchise. Walking about and seeing all the cool Japanese stuff reminded me of the trip we made to Japan earlier this year and I was thinking how nice if we had a store selling all the nitty-gritty Japanese things. And now we have it!
I bought several items more during my visit yesterday. It’s just hard not to pick up things while in the shop because you keep thinking “It’s only RM5″. But you don’t realise that you are actually spending RM50 after you’ve picked up 10 things! But in my effort to not shop too much, I made sure that I didn’t pick up more than 4 items.
While it is normal to think that everything is cheap at RM5, you should also take note that some of the items aren’t worth RM5 and could be less. For example, some of the files or folders and even packs of pens may cost you less than RM5 elsewhere. So be wise when you are shopping. It’s convenient to forget that some things are cheaper elsewhere. So think before you buy!
