One of the more effective shampoos for dandruff is the Selsun Blue shampoo. I used to have dandruff problem and nothing really worked until I tried Selsun Blue. It is not meant for use as a regular shampoo, so I only used it sparingly on occassions while I used normal shampoo for daily wash.
I also recommended this shampoo to someone who had dandruff problem and who had also tried a lot of dandruff shampoos that didn’t work for her. When she used this, she also found it to be effective. So I believe it should work for most people.
You can find Selsun Blue shampoos at Guardian outlets. I’ve forgotten the exact price, but it is more expensive than normal shampoos. Though pricier than other dandruff shampoos, you are rest assured to be paying for something that works.
If you have rebonded hair, then you might want to be more cautious about using dandruff shampoos. I was advised by the salon after I did my rebonding that I should avoid dandruff shampoos because they will cause the hair to become dry. But I suppose if you really have a bad case of dandruff, it might cause less embarrassment to have dry looking hair than a flaky head. I guess if you don’t use the dandruff shampoo too regularly, it won’t cause serious damage to the hair.
