Review of Vichy’s Normaderm Total Pore Resurfacing Essence

vichy normadern pore resurfacing essence

It’s been a couple of weeks since I started using Vichy’s Normaderm range of skincare, specifically the Total Pore Resurfacing Essence. I got my hands on this trial sized product from a Vichy counter.

The lady who served me at the counter explained in detail to me which products she thought would suit me well based on my skin type and I ended up getting a whole bunch of samples to try out.

Although I was told that this essence may not show as much effect on me as others may have experienced, I decided to try out the sample anyway since she was willing to share it with me.  Here is my review and personal take on the Vichy Total Pore Resurfacing Essence.

According to the lady manning the Vichy counter, this Normaderm range of skincare from Vichy is meant for oily to combination skin type. I am not quite this skin type but she said I could still use it and see if I thought it suitable anyway because I was interested in the pore refining properties for areas affected by blackheads.

This essence was said to be very effective in helping to make pores appear smaller. By pores, she explained that it mainly meant pores from pimple marks.

I do consider myself lucky that I do not have pimple marks but I do have blackhead problems. The former will have larger pores compared to blackheads, and thus the results seen on those with such a skin condition will therefore be more than those with smaller pore issues. All the same, she thought I could try to use this and see if it is just as effective.

So after using it for several weeks now, I find no change to my blackhead pore condition. I also did not notice anything different from using this essence. I normally use an essence or serum for hydration or skin rejuvenation properties, so I guess I will go back to using such serums or essences now that I’ve tried this out and don’t find any benefits to my skin.

How about you? If you have tried using this and have some results to share, by all means do share with the rest of the readers here. This product having no effect on me doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work for others. So I’m sure we’d all appreciate if a good product for certain skin condition gets rightly recommended to people who could benefit :)
