For those who are new to the brand Sukin, it is an Australian skincare brand that produces organic skincare and even body and hair care products. It was only recently made available for sale in Malaysia. The reason I was thrilled and happy to see Sukin organic products on our shelves is mainly because the products are very affordable compared with other organic skincare products in the market.
Before I move on to the review of the Sukin foaming facial cleanser, just let me point out a few advantages of Sukin’s products. Other than them being organic and made in Australia, Sukin products are also free of some harmful chemicals. Labelled on each and every bottle of Sukin’s products are these:

Sukin products do not contain a chemical called sodium lauryl sulfate (or simply known as SLS). I won’t detail the effects or claimed harm of sodium lauryl sulfate here, but you can read all about it from the link I provided above. Sukin’s organic products also do not contain parabens. Again, you can read about the effects of parabens from the Wiki link I provided.
As we get more health conscious and want safer everyday-products, Sukin seems to be a good alternative in terms of offering us just that and at very affordable prices too. Now read on below for my review of the Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser.
Although the name of this product is Foaming Facial Cleanser, I found this Sukin cleanser to be anything but very foamy. I guess this goes to prove that it really does not contain SLS. The cleanser is a colourless liquid that smells amazing to my senses. It has a blend of oils that include lavender which happens to be one of my favourite scents so I especially love using this cleanser in the night to relax. Below is a list of ingredients used to make this cleanser.
Pretty impressive goodies all packed into one cleanser, isn’t it?
Texture wise, I find it a little close to a cleansing oil. When using it, it actually reminds me of the Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel. It does foam just a little when you work on lathering it when washing your face. I also find that it takes more rinsing to completely clean off the cleanser from the skin. But once I’m done, I like how my skin feels soft and clean. Most importantly, it does not dry my skin and doesn’t leave a tight feeling on the skin.
I also found that I do not need to use a lot of the cleanser to wash my face. During my first few times, I poured too much and had a field time rinsing them all off. So now I’ve learned to use just the right amount which is rather little.
This cleanser is therefore quite lasting if you ask me. It comes in a bottle of 125ml. When I bought the facial cleanser, there was a promotion that was selling a double bottle pack for RM48.80. The normal retail price stated there for 2 bottles of cleanser is RM69.90 if I remember correctly. Isn’t this so very affordable for an organic skincare product plus the fact that it doesn’t contain some of the harmful chemicals found in most of our skincare, bath and hair care producst?
The other thing I like about the cleanser is the compact bottle that it comes in. It does not come with the pump as pictured above. Instead, it is a press-cap bottle that allows you to pour out the cleanser. It is a rather slim and short bottle and I find that it is easy to pack along into toiletry bags when travelling. You don’t even need to buy a travel-size pack!
So do I like the Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser? Well I don’t have anything much to complain about this product. I didn’t notice any visible change in my skin when using this product, I just simply love the scent and non-drying effect on my skin. I’m also very happy to be using an organic, SLS and paraben free product that doesn’t cost me an arm and leg.
If you want to try out this product, you can find them available at Watson and Jusco outlets.

I have been using the Made from Earth “Vitamin Enhanced Face Firming Serum” for approximately a month now with some interesting results.
A little goes a long way and it does seem to help me wake up with a soft, somewhat smoother skin texture.
It does seem to be effective in producing a nice feel in the morning, perhaps some extra firmness, too. It’s a great compliment to Made from Earth’s Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer which i use during the day.
My skin feels more tight. I would not say it is miraculous with wrinkles, but I like my skins new texture. Definitely worth a try when compared with similar, more expensive products. I personally would recommend combining the Made from Earth Face Firming Serum at night and using the moisturizer during the day for the best results. That is what worked for me…even my husband made a comment on how young I looked, and he never notices anything!
well..correction…he didn’t say I looked young. . .just how fresh he thought my face looked…I’ll take that!
I was wondering why Sukin contains harmful ingredient like PEG although they claimed they are organic.
It is worth noting that none of Sukin’s products are certified organic, and only a few of their products contain any organic ingredients at all.
They use a marketing technique of ommission, at no time do they state that all of their products are 100% natural and chemical free this is because they use a synthetic preservative, so will never be able to make that claim.
Unfortunately for the uneducated consumer can be lured in by good marketing.
