Since the hair care brand Asience came to our shores quite a while back, I’ve never tried using it. It didn’t really appeal to me then. Recently I was looking for a different brand and I thought of giving Asience a try since I’ve tried most of the brands on the shelves. And I love trying new stuff.
So I got a bottle of the Asience Shampoo Deep Nourish and a tube of hair treatment which is used like a conditioner. I chose the treatment because they ran out of the conditioner and the treatment product is supposedly a more concentrated version of the hair conditioner which I didn’t mind.
Asience Shampoo Deep Nourish

Asience Treatment
Here are some description of both the shampoo and treatment:
Specially formulated for Asian hair that is prone to damage from chemical treatment, UV rays, braiding, blow drying and frequent perming and styling. It contains natural essences of soy and pearl protein, which penetrate deeply to repair dry, damaged and brittle hair.
Contains camellia japonica oil and ginseng extract that help the hair retain moisture, and restore suppleness within the hair follicle. Camellia japonica oil has long been used in Asia to nourish the hair and skin.
The eucalyptus extract protects hair and brings back lost shine, while rice germ oil strengthens and moisturizes the hair to repair, nourish and protect it from the inside out.
After using it for quite a while now I find that I’m liking it and wondered why I didn’t bother trying it earlier. Love the scent and the softness of the hair after use. I’m not sure though whether it’s because of the hair treatment product that I’ve been using. I’ve got no comparison of it against the Asience conditioner. Maybe when I finish the tube of treatment I will get a bottle of conditioner and try out the difference.
I also noticed that this particular brand of shampoo doesn’t come in much variation. What I mean is that there’s no different shampoo for normal hair, dry hair, oily hair, etc. If you look at all the other brands of shampoos around, they have all these variations for different hair types. I wonder if it’s because this brand is just starting out. So only time will tell if the variations will come about.
I wondered this because I was changing shampoo due to this very reason. Before this I was using another brand of shampoo that was supposed to be for straight hair. I had recently had a perm and no longer have straight hair. So I thought using this shampoo that’s supposed to maintain straight hair and clamps down on curves may have adverse effect on my wavy hair now. Do you really think it makes much of a difference using straight hair shampoo on curly hair?
Anyway, whatever the reason I changed shampoos, I am quite glad that I did and even gladder that I chose to try out Asience. Have you used it before? Do give it a try and you may like it too!
