Hi there! If you're new here, and enjoy what you're reading, you can subscribe to my feed. Thanks for visiting!
I’ve been on the lookout for some fish oil supplement as I’ve read that it’s a pretty balanced supplement for a woman’s health. I haven’t been taking supplements for a while now and am thinking of resuming. But instead of the usual vitamin Cs and multivitamins, I’m thinking of starting on fish oil.
I was contemplating taking evening primrose oil but then I read an article that claimed that fish oil is a better supplement as it has a more well-rounded benefit to a woman’s health than the evening primrose oil. Is that true?
Anyone has any recommendations for a specific brand or type of fish oil supplements? I was looking at the shelves of the pharmacies and came across various types, including Omega-3 fish oil. Now I’m a bit confused and not very sure whether there’s any difference amongst them. If you have taken the different types, please share your feedback and which one worked better for you, ok?
I’m in my mid 30s already so it’s high time to start taking very good care of myself in terms of food intake, health supplements and also some skin care regime in order to maintain youthfulness. Most of us ladies want that, or at the very least to age gracefully, right?
On a separate note, has anyone tried taking any supplements with collagen? I was chatting with a lady who has nice complexion and she says she takes very good care of her skin and hair by taking some supplements and one of them include some collagen pill. I suppose it’s all working out pretty well for her since she doesn’t use any anti wrinkle eye cream and I don’t see any fine lines appearing on her face although she’s already in her 40s.
We sure take pain and effort to maintain ourselves, health and beauty wise. But I think it’s a good thing. Of course not to the point of being obsessed with it. It’s good that we want to take care of ourselves as most ladies, after becoming mothers, tend to forget that they should take care of themselves apart from their family.
I also had just started to realise this and want to do something about it after reading a quote by the famous Jim Rohn. This is what Jim Rohn said: “I will take care of me for you, if you will take care of you for me”. Get the message behind the quote? So if you haven’t already done so, start to take care of yourself for your loved ones if not for your own good

They come under different names and different brands but it’s all the same. Well for the real ones, not the scams. What is important is that it says in the label that it contains Omega 3 not some “fish oil”. Should be pure or all natural. If its heavy on toxins, what’s the use?
You are absolutely right, we women should take care of our skin very well. It’s one of our best assets. A well-taken care skin shows and glows. I too am using the Omega-3 fish oil supplement instead of the primrose. I think it’s got better results, since I’ve tried both. Make sure not to buy the cheap ones. The cost is well worth it so what is a few more dollars if it is for your skin, right?
I’m taking primrose oil at the moment. Is it advisable for me to take fish oil as well??
try Cenovis fish oil forte at 1500mg. it doesnt have fishy after taste. It contains EPA, DHA and omega 3. It came from small fishes in the Peruvian waters and it is free from contaminants. This is a good supllement for heart problem prevention and it lowers cholesterol. My personal experience with this fish oil is that it helps me to get a regular bowel movement everyday and it is good for the skin also..:)
You can try Herbalifeline from Herbalife which contains 60 softgels per bottle.
Omega-3 is not made by the body and must come from diet. Herbalifeline is made from premium-grade, deordorised fish oil extracted from deep sea fish. It which contains a blend of marine lipids containing Omega-3 fatty acids, especially EPA & DHA. It also formulated with vitamin E which is one of the most potential antioxidant.

I started taking Amway Salmon Omega Fish Oil about 4 months back. The apparent effect is that I dont fall sick so easily. I have survived two rounds of cold attack (in my children). In the past, I am usually the last one to go round when they all recovered.
Amway Fish Oil has the advantage of : it is from deep sea salmons, its capsule is soluble in water (you can try it in a cup of warm water with other brand and see for yourself). The only pitfall is probably the fishy smell, unless they are stored in the fridge.
