Passport holder for baby

For a long while now I’ve been thinking about making baby his very first passport. It’s only half the price of an adult’s passport. I’ve checked with parents who have made their babies’ passports and the process doesn’t seem too difficult.

The passport is not even close to being made yet but I’ve already found the perfect accessory for baby’s very first passport. A sweet looking passport holder!

Alright, I have to admit it’s not nearly perfect enough because of the colour. It’s unfortunate that this is the only colour it comes in. I can imagine when I hand baby’s passport to the immigration officer and he or she would be expecting a baby girl in my arms. And yet all he or she will see is an active little boy, probably squirming about to check out his surroundings.

I found this suede passport holder on a Mothercare London website. It costs GBP8 which converts to about RM56. It’s definitely on the expensive side due to the high exchange rate and it would end up being one third the cost of the passport itself. I was hoping to find the same product at our local Mothercare, but no such luck. Our local Mothercare stores don’t carry such accessories. I figured that even if they did, it won’t be much cheaper.

It’s just as well that they don’t carry this item, it helps to save me some money. I guess the money will be better spent on petrol instead?
