Hi there! If you're new here, and enjoy what you're reading, you can subscribe to my feed. Thanks for visiting!
If you are in the midst of moving and need to shop for things for your new home, there isn’t a greater timing than now. Just browse the Shopping N Sales website and you will find lots of sales going on for home furnishings and fixtures.
Even for those who aren’t moving, I’m sure the sales look tempting for you to change some items around the home if the prices are attractive enough. One of the reasons I won’t go and take a peek at these sales is so that I don’t get tempted to spend.
So if you are looking for some new curtains for the new year, a new futon or sofa, some classic Murray Feiss lighting, new electrical items or home appliances, even some musical instrument like a piano or guitar, check out all those sales and warehouse sales listed on Shopping N Sales! It’s simply amazing that all these sales are going on at the same time.
If you have purchased a property and planning to put in some simple furnishings and rent it out for a better price, do take advantage to hunt for bargains at these warehouse sales that are coming up too.
Anyone tempted to go shopping now?

This Christmas, get something personalised and meaningful for the man in your life. He could be your father, your special other half, your siblings, whoever the man is. Get him a business card holder that you can personalise. You can choose to engrave his name or initials on it, or you can even choose a special message to be written on the card holder so that it holds special meaning for him.

A personalised name card holder is nicer than a generic one. Just add his name or initials and it’s done. So simple!
You can choose the hard cased card holders or you can go for leather ones. There are quite a few variations of designs for each of these. But before you make the purchase, do check with the shop assistant on the personalisation to see if they can do it and how much space is allocated so that you can plan your messages in the space constraint given, if any.
A business card holder also comes in many different budgets, depending on the brand you select. So it’s up to you how much you want to spend on one. Sometimes it is not the brand that counts, so it doesn’t have to be an expensively branded one.
You may want to base your selection criteria on how many cards the name card holder can take. Sometimes there are some designs that can’t take heapfuls of cards in them whilst some are able to keep mounts of them. So remember this when you are choosing one.
Do you like this little gift idea? Maybe you can even get one for yourself. A business card holder is not gender bias as ladies need them too. So while you’re shopping for one for the guy you have in mind, and come across something you like for yourself, you might even go personalise it for yourself!
Happy Christmas shopping!

Yesterday was the start of the Vichy Friends & Family Christmas Sale at Uptown, PJ. The sale continues this Friday to Sunday, but in Klang. So I took the opportunity to go for yesterday’s sale since I don’t know my way around Klang area at all. Here’s how it went.
I reached there just before 10am which is the stipulated time for the sale to start. I was told that it’s not opened for public yet and it was only opened for staff then. So I took a seat and waited for about 10 minutes and when 10am came, I proceeded to enter the room where the sale was.
I didn’t see any other non-staff there then, so I guess I must’ve been the first one there. However, I was rather disappointed that there wasn’t very much put on sale. To begin with, there weren’t many Vichy items up for grabs. Just the Normaderm and Bi-White range of cleansers, the Bi-White toner, some eye creams and anti-pigmentation fluid which I happily grabbed, the Normaderm night moisturiser and some bodycare products.
I spotted a whole bunch of the sunblock and I wanted one too, but was told that they were fully reserved by the staff and there was no more for sale. Quite sad, huh?
So all I bought were these:

From left to right:
1) The Thermal Fix Eyes Cooling Decongesting Hydrogel cost me just RM20 (comes in a 15ml glass jar). I don’t know how much it usually costs but I’m guessing not cheap at all. So I grabbed 2 jars of this!
2) The Bi-White Advanced Anti-Dark Circles Whitening Corrective Eye Care cost me RM30. I am currently using this, and I don’t remember how much I paid for it in retail price. Maybe around RM70 for a 15ml bottle.
3) The Bi-White Advanced Intensive Whitening Corrective Care is also something I’m currently using to control pigmentation. I bought it at RM160 retail price but at the sale, it only cost RM50.
So do you think they are good buys? I definitely am happy with them. I checked the expiry dates for each of the products too and they expire between June to September next year. So I better make sure to finish these products by then.
If you think the sales are worth going for, you can go for the session in Klang. For more details, you can check it out here. Hopefully they put out more products during the weekend sale.

Looking for a nice, sophisticated present for the special lady in your life? You can’t go very wrong with pearls. This Christmas, present her a pair of lovely pearl earrings. Pearls are versatile and can be worn any time of the day, for any occasion or even non-occasion!
The most beautiful thing about pearls is that they are classic and timeless. They match with just about any outfit and are never out of style.
There are many variations that you can get your hands on, from studded pearl earrings to little drop earrings or even long dangling ones. They come in just as many designs to choose from too. You can even choose the colours they come in, from the classic pearl-white to pink to lilac to gray, etc.

Simple yet classic pearl studs

Aren’t these little drops of pearl earrings just pretty?

Sexy and elegant dangling pearl earrings
Best of all, this timeless piece of accessory can be easily bought from any jewellers you walk into. You can fix a budget and find something within your budget quite easily too.
You can choose to buy something affordable in the range of RM50 to RM100 or you can be extravagant and go for exclusive and premium grade pearls.
I personally think a simple pair of pearl earrings make a great gift to any girl. Even if she already has a pair, having another pair doesn’t hurt. Just make sure you don’t buy her the exact same pair she already has, and you will be quite safe

As a mother, I think I tend to shop more online than offline these days. Well, of course taking away the time spent on grocery shopping which is done offline. But a lot of other stuff, I tend to shop online because it saves time and can be done anytime I’m on the Internet. What about you?
Lots of people, especially in our country, don’t really dare to shop online due to security reasons and also a trust issue. But many have surpassed those reasons and find it such a convenience to shop online now. Are you one of them?
Not only do I shop for physical products online, I also choose financial products based on their internet facilities. Same goes for insurance products, I like a company that can give me an instant life insurance quote when I want it.
If you are not a convert to an online shopper yet, maybe someday you will be. I simply love the convenience and the time I save. What about the other fans of online shopping? Any other benefits to share?
