When I was pregnant, I was told much about brands like Avent and Pigeon for equipment like the steriliser, bottle and food warmer. Since they came highly recommended, we just went ahead with these brands without doing much research on my own. After owning the necessary equipment, I started to come across this brand called Petit Terrailon and at first sight, I actually fell in love with their products!
Petit Terrailon’s products are so sleek and innovative in design that many people would be tempted to splash on them. They don’t come cheaply, but they may offer value for money, depending on how you look at it. Some of the equipment can be used for many functions so you can at least justify the cost of it to be equal or less than what you would otherwise spend to buy each of those equipment separately. Let’s have a look at what I’m going on and on about, shall we?

The famous mangosteen juice from Xango now comes in packets! This means that you can now easily bring along the health juice wherever you go without having to lug around the heavy glass bottle. This is very convenient for frequent travellers who don’t wish to skip on their daily dose of this healthy juice. Since the recommended dosage per consumption of this juice is just 30ml, each packet of juice is readily packed in 30ml.
Have a look at these cute juice packs.

A box of Xango Single contains 30 packets, just nice for a 1-month consumption.

I’m currently using a semi-SLR by Nikon, the Coolpix5000 series. After playing around with it for a year now, I’m getting the itch to upgrade to a DSLR. I’ve been a fan of Nikon cameras even when I was using a point-and-shoot so naturally, I thought of upgrading to nothing less than a Nikon.
However, during my enquiries at the shops, I found that the affordable entry level DSLRs by Nikon only come with a viewfinder, with no LCD display screen (I was eyeing the Nikon D60 model). I’m just an amateur at this and I don’t think I’ll fancy peeping through the viewfinder to take pictures all the time.
So I reluctantly looked at other brands and the guy at the store let me handle a Canon EOS 450D. Being the first time I touched a DSLR, I was certainly at a loss and didn’t know quite what to do with the lenses and focus buttons. I simply snapped some photos but you know what? They looked good! Now, all the more I’m hooked to a DSLR!
Thing is, I’m still a fan of Nikon but it’s just too bad that it’s lacking the LCD display screen which I think I will definitely need for a start. However, since I got to play around with Canon, I quite like it too but I can’t really compare it to a Nikon since I didn’t get to test it out.
So I need some opinions from camera enthusiasts out there, what do you recommend?

I recently have become quite a Body Shop fan in terms of their skincare range. I was hunting for a facial scrub and ended up with Body Shop’s Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator. I was contemplating between this and the Tea Tree Oil Facial Exfoliator. I found the latter’s microbeads to be a little too fine and was doubting that it can effectively exfoliate my problem area that’s blackhead-prone. At the same time, I didn’t want big, harsh mircrobeads too.

Yesterday Loreal had a one day only warehouse sale at Wisma MCA in KL town. I wasn’t planning to go because from the flyers that were given out, I saw mostly cosmetic brands only and since I don’t use make-up, what could I possible buy, right?
But since my colleague wanted to go, I tagged along anyway just to join the crowd. We went over during lunch time and surprisingly the crowd wasn’t too large. It was a big auditorium where the sales were held and the entire room was filled with tables lined with products.
I was pleasantly surprised that they were not only selling make-up stuff, but also the Elseve range of haircare, Garnier and Loreal skincare products. I made a few calls and ended up buying some goodies on behalf of other people who couldn’t make it over. They were going very cheap and though most of the stuff weren’t mine, I still felt some thrill of shopping at a warehouse sale!
These are some of the goodies I picked up.
