My skincare round-up at The Face Shop

by Penny on October 13, 2008

I’ve been a loyal user of Clarins for some time now but recently I’ve had a change of heart. I’m now into Korean skincare products. I started with using just some sunscreen products by Skinfood but now I’ve made a big switch to almost a complete range of skincare products from The Face Shop. Here’s what I picked up.

The Face Shop has an organic range of facial cleansers, the Organature Cleansing Foam, and they have a few types within the same range. Since I have slightly dry skin, I chose the Hydrating Beans cleansing foam. It is a rather mild facial foam that’s formulated with organic beans to hydrate the skin. It is very lightly fragranced and is pleasant to the senses. This 150ml organic cleanser retails for RM35.90.

Next, I also bought a toner. All the toners at The Face Shop contain some level of alcohol, except for one range – the Eco Vert La Nature M’aime. It contains essential oils and golden palm oil. The essential oil gives a very pleasant scent to the toner whilst the golden palm oil provides further nutritive moisture to the skin. Because of these oils, an oil layer is visible at the top of the bottle and thus it needs a gentle shake before use. One interesting feature of the Eco Vert Essential Toner is that it uses 100% bamboo extract instead of water. The toner comes in a glass bottle of 145ml and is priced at RM45.90.

The toner comes with a little note regarding the contents of Golden Palm Oil and Essential Oils.

Next, I also replenished my serum with The Face Shop’s Raspberry Roots Fitting Up Essence. The raspberry roots extracts helps to tighten the skin and refines the face’s contours. The essence contains wild Himalayan raspberry roots and vitamin E. This 50ml essence sells at RM65.90.

I also got some samples of another range of products called the Su Hyang Snow. This is the recommended range to use if you are looking for anti-aging products from The Face Show. I received a toner and moisturiser.

I’ve just picked them up so I can’t write a review on them just yet. Give me some time and I’ll be able to provide more information on them one at a time. So stay tuned if you are interested in these products.

Hi Wana, the products are not too bad for the price you pay compared against the more branded and expensive skincare products. Give it a try, they may work wonders for you. Some of them are really working very well on me.
