My favourite eco-friendly and reusable shopping bag

by Penny on August 1, 2009

I have a strange attraction for reusable bags. Some of those that I have in my collection were given to me for free whilst I also buy those that I fancy. Some of my favourites include the one from Borders book store and one that I got from Robinsons. I try to use them as much as I can so that I can contribute towards sustaining the environment.

Some weeks back I was shopping at Tesco and I spotted one of their reusable bags. It was eye-catching and I loved it the instant I saw it. And it has since become my favourite reusable shopping bag, especially for grocery shopping! Here’s a picture of the reusable bag.

tesco reusable eco friendly bagIsn’t this a lovely reusable bag for groceries? It’s made of jute so it’s very strong and durable. You won’t have a problem carrying a bag full of groceries with it. The carrying handles are also made for comfortable carrying as they are thick yet soft and a little spongy to the touch.

The inside of the reusable bag is also very practical as it is cleverly laminated with a transparent plastic sheet so that the surface of the jute is protected and you can safely store wet items inside the bag.

The bag is also washable, and with the help of the protective plastic sheet on the inside, it makes it easy to get rid of any stains left on the bag, if any.

I also like the size of this bag which measures 42cm in length (horizontally), 32cm in height (vertically) and the inside width of the bag when fully opened up measures 18cm.

The pretty appearance of the bag is an added bonus. I love the colour combinations and the cute ladybird bugs on it add such a cute touch to the reusable bag.

Best of all, this Tesco reusable bag only costs RM6.99. Very affordable, don’t you think? If you are into eco-friendly and reusable bags, do consider this bag as your grocery shopping bag for its practicality, reusability and affordability too.
