I’ve always enjoyed the Marigold Peel Fresh range of fruit juices. When a friend and I saw an enticing advertorial in the papers some weeks back on their new fruit juice, we were immediately tempted to give it a try.
The Marigold Peel Fresh Mangosteen Juice Drink with mixed fruits is quite refreshing in taste. It isn’t too sweet as I had feared it would be. However, it also didn’t taste like fresh mangosteen. You know how you can always tell when a juice is made from processed flavouring? That’s what it tasted like. The smell of mangosteen is quite strong once you take a sip of the juice.
Honestly, when I first had a taste of the juice, I did not quite acquire the taste for it. It was only after a few more sips that the taste started to grow on me. Coupled with it being sufficiently chilled, it wasn’t too bad. But it isn’t quite the thirst quenching kind of drink you expect on a hot sunny day. Nevertheless, it is quite different from the conventional orange, apple or mango juice that are typically found in most families’ refridgerators.
You can find the Marigold Peel Fresh Mangosteen Juice Drink at most supermarkets and hypermarkets. I don’t remember the exact price of it, but it is around RM5.59 for a 1 litre juice box, if I recall correctly. It is slightly more expensive than other range of juice by the same brand, simply because it is the newest addition to the Peel Fresh juices.
If you are gamed for something different or enjoy the queen of fruits, then by all means go for it. You might just enjoy this drink.
