I’ve used the Loreal Elseve hair shampoo and conditioner range for coloured hair as well as the one for normal hair and I found them to be alright. When the newest range was brought onto the shelves, which is the Loreal Elseve Re-Nutrition Caring Shampoo with royal jelly, I thought it must be God-sent and that it will be better if not just as good as the other range I’ve tried. So without hesitating, I grabbed a bottle of the royal jelly shampoo as well as the conditioner.
Now that I’ve finished using the entire bottle of shampoo and conditioner, I’ve decided not to ever buy it again! I didn’t think they were good. In fact, I think the normal range one was even better than this royal jelly one. How come that is so, I don’t know. They must’ve just overclaimed it and it didn’t deliver the results as expected.
The texture of the shampoo is actually quite thick. It found that it didn’t lather very well. I also didn’t quite like the fragrance of the shampoo. The other ranges of the Loreal Elseve shampoo smell more pleasant and light. As for the conditioner, it didn’t work well for me to give me tangle-free hair. I was actually surprised that my hair tangled a lot more when using this range!
I was using my other hair care products as usual and the only change was this royal jelly shampoo and conditioner. So I do attribute the tangled hair problem to a lack of effectiveness on the part of the conditioner. I’ve never had my hair tangled like that when using any other conditioner. And as soon as I changed conditioners when this royal jelly range finished, I am back to having hair free from tangles.
I guess I should’ve suspected something’s not right when the price range was not very much different. In fact, if I remember correctly, I bought them for slightly cheaper than the normal ones. At that time I didn’t give it much thought, thinking perhaps it’s new in the market and there was some kind of promotion to offer it cheaper so that people will be more willing to try it. Now it makes sense why…it doesn’t work! For me, at least.
Anyone has had a different experience with the Loreal Elseve Re-Nutrition shampoo and conditioner with royal jelly?
