I’m all for the freebies and Eucerin gave me some

Hi there! If you're new here, and enjoy what you're reading, you can subscribe to my feed. Thanks for visiting!

Call me a cheap, but I’m always excited about receiving freebies. It doesn’t matter that sometimes the freebies aren’t exactly my cup of tea, I will still happily accept them because I can then pass it on to whoever finds it useful. One woman’s poison is another woman’s meat.

Recently I went hunting for a moisturiser. I am a faithful Clarins user and although they were having a big sale of up to 70% discount recently (read post here), I did not go for it. I’m quite sure I would’ve been able to buy a moisturiser for a lot less at the sale, but I just didn’t have the time. The other reason is also because I had half the mind of making a change to something that will cost me considerably less but does just as good a job.

I’ve used Eucerin’s products and have been quite happy with it (read some of my previous posts on Eucerin here and and a review here). Having tried their cleanser, toner and the anti-pigmentation fluid, I am quite keen to try a moisturiser. This is what I bought for RM48.88.

Eucerin Hydro-Protect Hydrating And Protecting Fluid

Eucerin’s moisturiser in the Hydro-Protect range comes in two different types. One is a hydrating and protecting cream which comes in a glass jar. The other is pictured above, a hydrating and protecting fluid. Both are 50ml in content, some with SPF 15 and cost the same. I read both the labels and they said exactly the same thing in terms of usage, benefits and even suitable skin types. I have no idea which is better or if there are any significant difference which is not highlighted. I just prefer this bottle to a jar, so I purchased it based on packaging.

Along with this moisturiser came a freebie which is a little travel pouch for toiletries. As I bagged this, I asked the girl if there were any product samples that I can take away and she happily gave me two small bottles of lotion. I was so glad I asked and now can try out their lotion for free!

See, asking never hurts (you might seem a little thick skin and demanding, that’s about all) and if you are anything like me, you stand to gain a little thrill at the end of the day. Life is short, so enjoy whatever little things that put a smile on your face. Here are my proudly claimed freebies.

Would you like a review on this moisturiser (and the lotion?) next? Just ask and you will get one! :)

I was googling to find reviews on Eucerin’s moisturiser Hydro Protect, and I found your blog :) But I can’t seem to find any of the reviews you left on the Eucerin products!:( Did you like Eucerin’s moisturiser? Would you recommend it? I’m considering buying it, but not sure yet!

Hi Mary. Yes I did use Eucerin’s moisturiser. I didn’t feel much of a difference using it compared with other moisturisers. I guess it’s just an average product. I’ve switched to some other brand now.
