I was flipping the newspapers this morning and was delighted to see a brightly coloured full page ad from IKEA to say that their IKEA Sale is starting tomorrow and ends exactly a month from now. So you have from 16 July to 16 August to shop, shop and shop till you drop at IKEA! Are you going to be there?

I am keen to go because I have been wanting to find a suitable bed as well as a small table for my son. When we went round hunting some weeks back, we didn’t see anything suitable at all.
I didn’t think it was so hard to find a suitable bed for a toddler, and I didn’t think that it was equally hard to find him a little table to write and play on too.
All the beds that we saw just didn’t seem safe enough (he could easily climb over and fall off). And most of the kiddie tables we saw weren’t very sturdy or nice in designs (most are very classroom desks styled which is boring!). We’re still looking for these items and hopefully we can find them all at IKEA and it will be a good bonus for these items to be on sale.
From the advertisement, it looks like a lot of its smaller and pretty items are going to be heavily discounted too. I have always loved glassware and am tempted by the drinking glasses.
They also have some nice big vase which I always admire when I pass that section. But we aren’t the sort who put up fresh flowers at home so I never bought them. But if they are cheap enough, I could consider bringing more cheers and colours to the home with flowers every now and then!
When and if I do go for the sale, I have to consciously be very wise about not buying more than what I need though. You know how tempting the things are at IKEA…
