Achieve soft and tangle-free hair with Himalaya Hair Detangler & Conditioner

by Penny on April 20, 2009

Every woman wants to have silky smooth and tangle-free hair. To achieve this, a conditioner is a must after shampooing, amongst many other hair care products which follow after the washing regime. Many conditioners work alright for me, but I have to swear by Himalaya’s Hair Detangler & Conditioner.

I’ve used it for a few months now, and every now and then I switch back to some regular conditioners and that’s when I realise the difference in my hair from using other brands’ conditioners versus the Himalaya Hair Detangler & Conditioner.

The label that describes this all-naturale product is as follows:

Himalaya’s Hair Detangler & Conditioner is an instant Detangler with deep conditioning properties that UN-knots and DE-tangles tresses in distress while also nourishing them from the roots. A result of years of research, this is a double action formula which both detangles and conditions hair.

This hair care product is safe for use as it claims to use 100% natural ingredients and is chemical free. It is enriched with hibiscus and blue water lily as its main active ingredients. The hibiscus works to detangle and provide optimal conditioning to the hair whilst the blue water lily is an excellent moisturiser that promotes hair growth as well as works to soften the hair.

It is used exactly how a conditioner is used. After shampooing and rinsing off the shampoo lather from your hair, apply some Himalaya Hair Detangler & Conditioner to the ends of the hair first, with any remaining conditioner to the rest of the hair and scalp area. Leave it on for about 2 minutes before you rinse it off. The texture of the detangler and conditioner is quite light and combs easily into wet hair.

The scent is quite mild and sweet. At first I didn’t quite take to the smell of it, but after a while, it tends to grow on you and since it is rather mild, it isn’t too hard to get used to it. Some may find the smell refreshing and pleasant and like it instantly, as it carries a tinge of hibiscus scent to it. I’m just not a very “hibiscus” kind of person.

The result of using Himalaya Hair Detangler & Conditioner on my hair is a softer and silkier feel to the hair. I have rather long hair and so far I’ve had quite an easy task of managing it, without facing much of a tangling situation. Perhaps other conditioners work just as well in keeping my hair tangle-free, but it is the softness and silky feeling that I like with this hair detangler and conditioner.

I don’t wash my hair everyday, and do so only at recommended intervals of every other day. But I’m happy that the hair detangler and conditioner’s effect stays on the hair throughout my hair wash intervals. So everyday, whether it’s a hair wash day or not, I still have soft and silky hair.

You can find the Himalaya Hair Detangler & Conditioner at most major pharmacies like Guardian and Watson, and of course at all Himalaya’s outlets in shopping malls. It retails for RM22.90. A little bit more expensive than many regular conditioners of the same size, but worth it if you achieve the results you want.

Hey, Rm22.90 is pretty reasonable. Girls can give it a try. :)

I agree, it’s not bad a price to pay for something that works.

I have a lot of long dry fine hair that tangles like crazy. The Shielo Antioxidant Leave In Protectant is the best I’ve found yet. I find that most detanglers fall into one of two categories: effective but goopy, or ineffective and non-goopy. The Shielo Leave In is unlike these in that it is light, but ACTUALLY detangles. Still, I have to use a lot of it, especially near my scalp when I want to comb my hair in a different direction.

It is scented, but lightly so. Considering how much of the product I use, I am glad the scent isn’t too strong.
