With the joyful addition of a little one in the family, I’ve learned that the home needs to be cleverly managed with lots of storage solutions. Not so apparent when the kid is just a baby but as he or she grows up, the amount of toys and books become such a mountainful that one needs to seriously look into good storage options so that you don’t have a home strewn with knick-knacks all over the place.
Many parents highly recommend those plastic storage containers most of the time. I agree too that they make great storage solutions as they come in many different sizes and colours too.
Some even come with wheelers so that it’s convenient for you to roll it about instead of having to carry them. Often, they also come with cover lids and if you have a few of these storage boxes, it makes it easy for you to stack one on top of the other to save space.
I can’t agree more with the great usability and convenience of these plastic containers after I purchased some of these myself to store away all the kiddie stuff. The better quality ones don’t come too cheaply but it’s worth it to buy them compared to the cheaper alternatives because the latter do pose as a threat especially to children, with sharp edges protruding from corners because they are not well made.
Then recently I discovered another nice alternative as a storage solution. I found some multi-function storage boxes like the ones pictured below. These boxes also come in many different shapes and sizes, and best of all, it is fabric-based and they come in lively and cheerful colours to brighten up any room you place them in.
These multi-function storage boxes also can be used as an additional stool around the house!
As stated in the leaflet above, these storage boxes can be quite useful in terms of saving you space when you don’t need to use them because they are foldable. It is also very durable as it is built with good structure support and not flimsy at all. It stands perfectly well even when it’s empty as it has some weight to ground it.
I also love this multi-function storage box because it doesn’t just store, it can also be used as a seat (not for the heavy-weights, unfortunately) and it is more pleasant to the eyes when placed around the house too!
I am currently using one of these multi-function storage box to store my son’s books and toys. It can store quite a lot of stuff!
Isn’t this prettier to look at? My son can even use it as a stool if he wants to. The cover also allows his stuff to be kept dust-free.
I bought this storage box from Watson. Each costs RM25.90. Not a very cheap option but I consider it to be a good buy for the various benefits as talked about above. How do you like it? I am loving it so far!

yes it is true that kids like to keeps things, i know that i did when i was little, so a storage solution would be perfect. My brother has some for his kids which have wheels, this means that he can store it under something(bed, desk ect.)and roll it out. The kids can also do this and slide it to whichever room that they want to play in. they are deffinately the best design of child storage that i have seen!
