First Daiso outlet from Japan at The Curve

by Penny on December 20, 2008

Today’s my first visit to the newly opened Daiso outlet at The Curve. Daiso is Japan’s number 1 ranking livingware supplier. At Daiso, everything is affordable, as all products are sold at a flat price of RM5. Pretty much like the Hinode outlets but Daiso is very much better than Hinode. For one thing, all the products sold at Daiso are imported from Japan.

Daiso is locate right next to the Nichii boutique on the second floor of The Curve. It occupies a very huge lot (4 lots into one, actually!) and there are tonnes and tonnes of goodies to be found in there! It is no wonder that it is Japan’s leading livingware shop. You really could find all kinds of everything in there from beauty stuff like make up and personal toiletries to kids’ toys and even laundry supplies.

I shopped in there for about an hour and to tell the truth, it wasn’t quite enough. At some aisles where I couldn’t decide whether or not to buy the items I picked up, I decided to move on so that I can cover the entire outlet to see what else is in store. I didn’t have the time to cover each aisle in detail, and I ended up only picking up 10 things, some of which include Christmas presents!

Let me show you some of them pretty gifts I got from Daiso for my little god-sisters.

cute pegs from daiso First Daiso outlet from Japan at The Curve

Description of pictures from top left to right:

  • Top left – A set of 8 wooden clover leaf pegs
  • Top right – A set of 8 wooden chick pegs
  • Bottom left – A set of 10 wooden animal pegs
  • Bottom middle – I mixed all the pegs up and split them into 2 gift bags
  • Bottom right – A pack of 22 sheets of plastic gift bags that come with golden strips to tie up the bags

I’m so excited over these gifts and I can’t wait to hand them over to the girls. I think they would love these. They can be as imaginative as they can be and find many diferent ways to use them. Who says pretty things have to be expensive? I simply love Daiso!
