For some reason, timepieces as gifts are always quite classic and a treasured gift. This Father’s Day, you can get dad a timeless piece of investment by getting him a memorable watch that will serve him well.
For the Chinese, however, if you are the superstitious type, you may not like this idea. Even if you do like this idea but not completely comfortable about giving a timepiece because of the Cantonese phrase “Sung Chung”, you may just want to ask for a dollar back as a gesture of your dad “buying” this for himself.
There are many good brands of watches out there and I won’t go to the length of recommending any because everyone tends to have their own personal preference. Whether you want to buy a really branded and expensive one like a Patek Philippe, Bell & Ross, Tag Heuer, or one that is more affordable and within your means of paying without owing the bank a lot of money, I’m sure the gift will be a treasured one.
Although a watch may be quite a common gift, I’ve always found it to be a meaningful gift. How about you, do you share the same sentiments?

Hey,
I saw the article about Fathers Day gifts and ideas and they are all great. Fathers Day really isn’t that far off so I guess I had better start thinking about what I am going to buy Dad this year. I sometimes find it quite hard to come up with new ideas, but I guess sometimes it is better to stick to the ideas which I know he will enjoy. I think the whole family will be taking him out to his favorite sea food restaurant on Fathers Day, and I think my brother is going to take him to play golf in the afternoon. I won’t be able to make it till much later on but I will be there for the meal which will be nice. I have found it hard to find a Father’s Day card which I think Dad will like, also I find that shops always charge so much money for cards, so this time I have decided to try something different. Dad is always on his computer playing card games and puzzles, so I think I might try and send him an eCard this year. I spent ages on the net trying to find a site I liked and have come across a cool Fathers Day e-Card site which is free. I had never sent an eCard before, so I was glad this site made it really easy to choose and send a card. I was pleased to see a large range of Father’s Day cards too. There are loads of sites out there so it is definitely worth trying some out and seeing what you like.
