Eubos Sensitive Shower Oil makes your skin smooth and soft

by Penny on January 9, 2009

We discovered that our little boy has minor eczema just a month after he was born. To help keep his eczema at bay, we have tried many ways to protect his sensitive skin and a few effective solutions include the use of a medicated cream called Elomet, and a daily shower oil for babies called Eubos Cream Bath Oil. I find the Eubos Cream Bath Oil for babies a great product. From the first time we used it on him, his skin felt very smooth and supple after his bath. And over the long term, it has helped to keep his skin free from problems.

Seeing that it works wonders, I was quite tempted to use the adult version of this product  myself although I do not have any skin problems. It’s just a good way, not to mention a healthy way to take care of your skin. The product is a little more expensive than the usual shower creams so I hesitated in buying, but I got lucky and received them as gifts during Christmas. Just perfect!

Now, after a few weeks of using it, here’s my feedback on the Eubos Sensitive Shower Oil.

Many people may be put off when it comes to using oil in a shower. Oil and water can’t mix, so how are you going to rinse off oil on the body, right? Freight not, it really isn’t that oily. I have to admit it takes a little more time to rinse off than shower gels or creams, but the effect on the skin is worth a little more time spent in the shower.

There are 2 things that I didn’t find quite in favour of the Eubos Sensitive Shower Oil, but they are negligible and not of great concern. I find the medicated scent not too pleasing although it is rather mild. I would’ve prefered it to be unscented (in which case I could always choose the Eubos Liquid Skin Cleansing Emulsion instead). The other thing is that it does not apply too easily on the skin like shower creams. Because of this, I tend to use quite a lot of it so that the entire body is lathered in the shower oil.

I felt the effects of the shower oil immediately after a shower, much like how I felt it on my boy. My skin felt really smooth and soft! So although I don’t have any skin condition, I think I would like to continue using this for smooth skin. Since it is quite expensive to use this exclusively for the long term, I alternate it with other shower creams as well. On days when I just want to feel pampered, I will lather on this shower oil and end up with baby smooth skin!
