Anyway, this doll is a Japanese invention from Takaratomy and its name is Yumel. Yumel has six different sensors that will track a person’s sleeping pattern. It goes to sleep when you sleep and wakes up when you do. Yumel even greets you when you wake up! And if you treat Yumel well, it’ll sing and talk to you too!
Honestly, if I had a Yumel, I think I’ll be keeping it far, far away from my bed. I don’t want to wake up to a talking doll, you know. And what if Yumel decides to sing in the middle of the night??! I don’t even think Yumel is suitable for a child.
I wonder how the Japanese came up with such an idea for Yumel. Maybe they were inspired by the movie Toy Story?
