This Christmas you can go green and present someone with a green and environmentally friendly gift in the form of a potted plant. This is especially great for someone who has green fingers and loves tending to plants.

A plant as a gift goes a long way (if it is well taken care of, of course). A plant can last for years and imagine the satisfaction of the recipient watching and nurturing the plant to grow and bloom. I’m sure you would feel happy and proud seeing how your gift has turned into something so beautiful and lasting. A great way for your gift to be always remembered, too!
You can find all sorts of pretty potted plants in many nurseries in town. Most Malaysians would flock to Sungai Buloh, the land of many nurseries to find all kinds of plants, be it for flowers or fruit trees. I’ve seen many excited shoppers happily lugging back pots and pots of plants from there.
There are many shops and stalls within just one location in Sungai Buloh, so you may want to shop around for the best prices. Many also visit the leprosy centre because they house many good gems of plants in there too. If you are a plant lover, I bet you can easily spend half the day in Sungai Buloh admiring the greens and dreaming up your lovely garden with all the colourful plants.
So this Christmas, present a pretty pot to your loved ones and watch them love the gift of life! It’s a great way to let your children learn to take responsibility and show their nurturing side too. A plant is also a great gift for the home.

Oh, the purple flower above needs watering or not?… may not survive long in my hands because I always forget to water flowers.
I’m quite sure it needs water. You know, I’m very bad at keeping plants alive too…
