Birthday present

heart shape present box Birthday present

I was pleasantly surprised when my other half said to me that he has plans for a birthday present for me already. He wants to get me a new laptop since he often hears me complaining about the slow performance of my current one, probably due to a lack of computer memory because of the many pictures I store in it.

He asked me to pick the brand and model I would like instead of him choosing it for me. As great a gift as that sounded, I declined. I don’t need a new laptop. I think I’m more practical these days. A new gadget is always nice, but this little laptop of mine still serves me very well. I’ve done an upgrade and it’s not as slow anymore, so I don’t see why I should trade it in.

So now that I’ve declined this gift, perhaps I should put on my thinking cap and think of something that I really want. What would it be…I don’t know yet. In the past, I seem to have quite a long wish list of things I would like, but by now I’ve forgotten them already.

Anyone has received a great gift recently? Care to share?

Your hubby is so nice :-) . But like you I will not ‘waste’ money on things that I already have although it might not be performing as good as it should be. All my gadgets, PC, handphone, camera are all more than 2 or 3 years old :-) . I believe in spending only when necessary (for myself). But for my loved ones, I’d spend anytime hahahaha

if cannot think of any gift, then ask for the money that was to be initially spent on the laptop la …. practical and will likely be able to provide returns that would enable you to buy 2 laptops!!

Amy, I agree with you, expensive items for loved ones just don’t seem expensive when you see how their faces light up at the sight of the gift. Worth every penny spent :)

Busy Bee, spoken like a true investor! Hahaha. But what to invest in to earn me double right now?
