Baking gadgets

Hi there! If you're new here, and enjoy what you're reading, you can subscribe to my feed. Thanks for visiting!

I love to bake. One of my favourite recipes of all time is from Delia Smith, the Austrian Coffee and Walnut Cake. I’ve not baked this for a long time because it is difficult to find some of the ingredients of this recipe. I use to bake this when I was a student in the UK and since Delia Smith is UK based, there was no problem getting the suggested ingredients.

For months now I’ve been having thoughts about starting baking again. But time doesn’t really permit. It not only takes a lot of time in preparing the stuff to be baked, it is also a big chore to wash up!

Anyway, not having the time to bake hasn’t stopped me from creating a wish list of baking gadgets. Here are two items which would be very useful when the time comes for me to bake away!

1. Tupperware Chef Mates Set

Tupperware has some interesting products here that make measuring, mixing and storing a breeze. This baking set comprises a 2-liter ‘Mix N Stor’, 6 measuring cups in different measurements and a ‘Sift N Stor’ container. With this set, I don’t need to ransack the kitchen cabinets for containers or dishes big enough to mix, store and sift the flour and eggs. I won’t even need a sift because it comes with the set too. I’m quite convinced that using this baking set will ease the washing up bit.

2. Kenwood Digital Scale

This digital scale seems like a luxury when I can do with an analogue one. But look how sleek it is! But it looks a little fragile to me, which makes it a little less practical. Nevertheless, it’s just a wish list item…it may or may not make its way into my kitchen.
