Before I was a parent, I used to think that Clarks shoes for toddlers are just too expensive and not worth it because toddlers grow so fast and thus outgrow their shoes very quickly. To spend hundreds on a pair of shoes only to be worn for a month or two at the most seems like something I wouldn’t do. Until now.
Now that I’m a mother, and constantly shopping in the kids department, I know how expensive things for children cost. Whether it’s clothes, shoes, accessories, etc, nothing comes cheap. The first pair of shoes for the little one when he turned one year old already set his grandmother back RM80!
He now needs a new pair of shoes and we’ve gotten him more than just a pair. His vain pot mummy decided that he needs not just a pair of sports shoes, he also needs a casual wear, thus a pair of casual sandals too!
Seeing that the lesser known brands already cost so much, I checked in on Clarks to see how much the shoes for toddlers cost. To my surprise, they are not very much more expensive than some of those other brands you find in departmental stores. So I decided that it isn’t that bad after all, and I believe in starting him right in terms of walking in good, comfortable shoes.
We got him a pair of sandals and I hope it will last him for a while (I have to admit that we bought him a slightly bigger size than his current feet size!). See how a parent can so quickly change her mind about something she was against? It’s amazing being a parent!
