A flat umbrella
by Penny on July 22, 2008
I’ve never religiously carried an umbrella in my bag wherever I go. Whether it’s rainy season or I’m off to somewhere sunny, I would never think of putting an umbrella in my bag. Mainly because it takes up so much space even though it’s foldable.
But all this changed when I found flat foldable umbrellas when I was in Tokyo. I loved how space-saving they are and since I bought them, I’ve never left home without one in my bag. It’s come in very handy to shelter baby from drizzles and the hot sun.
They come in various colours, yellow, navy blue, green, black and green. After conversion, I paid about RM15 each.
My yellow umbrella folded and stored in its pocket

Compact, flat and light-weight
Trust the Japanese to come up with such innovative stuff! If you are in Japan, look out for these. They actually make great and practical gifts. I bought a lot of them and gave them all away!
